澤西長毛兔是小型的寵物兔品種，外觀較小可愛，雙耳短小、直立，身體上的毛也比較長，顏色有很多種，通常來說都是比較深色的，整個身體顯得圓滾滾的。

適時提前剪毛。籠養(yǎng)兔，把兔籠放在陰涼、通風(fēng)處;露天兔舍，可在兔舍周圍搭建涼棚或種植遮蔭樹木、花草等。如果舍內(nèi)溫度過高，可在地面潑些涼水降溫，也可經(jīng)常鋪墊干沙、爐渣或石灰，還可以在兔舍內(nèi)放一張距地面8～10厘米的木板條床，引兔上床，以防兔舍潮濕而誘發(fā)疾病。
