3.發(fā)情周期 母兔性成熟后發(fā)情有周期性，一般發(fā)情周期短，8~15 天發(fā)情1 次，持續(xù)2~3天，但發(fā)情無規(guī)律性。長毛兔母免的發(fā)情周期不太規(guī)律，有的母兔一直發(fā)情，因卵巢中經(jīng)常有處于不同發(fā)育階段的卵子。也有母免在一定時間發(fā)出氣味，引誘公兔交配。但母免發(fā)情受季節(jié)氣溫的變化影響較大，在氣候較溫和的春秋季飼料來源充足，發(fā)情較為明顯，種免性欲強，受胎率、產(chǎn)仔數(shù)和育成率較高。而在夏冬季長毛兔食欲較差，種免性欲不高，空懷率和產(chǎn)仔死亡率較高。應注意搞好發(fā)情鑒定工作，尤其是群體較大時，不要因漏掉發(fā)情母兔而延誤了配種。還需要喂給營養(yǎng)豐富的飼料，以使長毛免保持良好的體質，
